Review highlights
Based on 333 reviewsPapa Joe's Pizzeria in Wadesboro, NC, is widely praised for its consistently delicious thin-crust pizzas, generously topped and rivaling options found in larger cities. Customers frequently highlight the value offered through specials, such as carryout deals that include free additional pizzas with certain purchases. The quality of side items, including fresh salads and flavorful wings, further complements the main dishes, although wing flavor options are somewhat limited. The restaurant’s atmosphere is noted for its welcoming and friendly staff, contributing to a positive dining experience even during busy or late hours. Many reviewers appreciate Papa Joe's as a community-focused, local establishment that maintains affordable pricing without sacrificing taste. While not gourmet, it is celebrated for delivering reliably good food and a hospitable environment that encourages repeat visits, sometimes from patrons traveling significant distances to indulge in their favorite pizzas.
I have to stop here for the large Papa Joe's special Everytime I pass through here. The toppings are loaded onto a thin crust pizza. They also offer a carryout special where you can buy any size pizza and get a one topping pizza the next size down for free. The wings are amazing. Be sure to ask them to cook them twice, you'll thank me later. Only downside is that the wings only come in one flavor.
When I first walked in, I was immediately greeted by the 2 front servers. After I went and washed my hands, they one of them took my order and they still had the special of 2 guests with one topping. I got those with a side salad. The salad was fresh and crisp and tasted just fine. The pizzas were thin crust that was just right with everything on top. In the back of the restaurant I saw a group of older ladies whom I greeted one of them and told her that I was passing through going home and had eaten there for years when I passed through. It has gotten to a point where there is no point in passing through Wadesboro without going to Papa Joes. This place is an asset to Anson County and the need to keep up the good work with the ingredients.
I have been there many times over the past 18 years and the food is always great. It is probably among the best pizza anyone could get anywhere. The salads are always fresh and the pizza is delicious. As good as you could get in any major city. I talked to one of the owners and he told me that they were going to have to go up a bit but I told him and he agreed that people will understand why you have to raise prices on count of cost of ingredients. And he agreed with me to never skimp on anything. Papa Joe's is definitely one of Anson County's best kept secrets. I believe a lot of their marketing is word of mouth and I am on of their such marketers. I actually deliberately go through Wadesboro when coming back from the coast just to go there.
inexpensive and delicious! I’ve been driving over an hour (one way) for about 7 years to get this pizza! Not corporate and active in their community, this is a great little pizza place—not gourmet, just GOOD!!
Excellent thin crust pizza! We came in near closing time and the staff was friendly and helpful. Sweet tea was on point as well. We went for the sausage and mushroom, and were not disappointed.
I was there for my granddaughter's birthday party and the staff was very nice and helpful..I don't eat pizza but everyone else seemed to enjoy it
Nothing tops a good old fashion thin crust pizza. The sauce is rich, the cheese is silky, and the Italian sausage is authentic. Stop in for a bite the next time you are driving through Anson County to get to Myrtle Beach. #GratuityAdded #pizza #amore #pizzalover #foodie #pizzatime #italianfood #AnsonCounty #pizzeria #foodblogger #foodphotography #foodlover #Wadesboro #thin #foodstagram #Hwy74 #bigback #PapaJoes #ontheroad #travelfoodie #RonniesBack #instagood #GTL #pizzagram #Bearcats #hometownfavs #mukbang #cltfoodie #doubletap #areyoufriendswithher
